The Most Passionate Boudoir Photographer in Dallas, Texas
Every day I have to pinch myself when I wake up. It is still so unbelievable to me, that I get to do what I love. My career went full circle from aspiring songwriter….to news photographer…DJ… paralegal…then court administrator… only to end up back where I started.
I got my first job as a photographer when I was 18. It was my first semester in college and a friend put in a good word for me at the local CBS affiliate. I would shoot stories, talk to people, edit the tape (yes, tape, it was that long ago), write the copy and so on. I have done every job related to a news cast except produce and anchor. Every other job, I have done at one point or another. I was promoted to technical director when I was 19. There was a cute young man who I put in a good word for. He was my “tape roller.” These days I call him my husband.
I still love to write, but I really live behind the lens of a camera. I stumbled into wedding photography by helping a friend with a wedding back in college. The rest is history. I much prefer to watch people on the happiest day of their lives instead of witnessing them getting sued. What a difference in dynamic. Over the years my brides have requested boudoir sessions more and more frequently. As the self-love movement continues to grow, so does the interest in this form of photography.
My style of boudoir isn’t overtly sexual. What I strive to do is to show how beautiful and confident women are naturally. The beauty of the moment is sexy. Why over complicate it?
Boudoir is for every woman. There aren’t any age or size requirements. It is about celebrating who you are, at this very moment. You are beautiful. You are enough. I can prove it to you through the lens of my camera.
